A day (or two) late, a pound lighter… 03/02/10

Hello my friends! *WAVES, passes an iced cold glass of H2OHHH!

This post is late and I’ve been unfortunately so busy that I need to catch up on most of your blog posts too! Forgive me? Thank you for sticking with me and sticking by me these past FOURTEEN freakin weeks! WOAH! REALLY? Hello I can’t even believe I just typed that, let alone have stuck with my program this long! IT MUST be working ;) !

Personally I’ve had a tough few weeks. Full of emotional highs and lows, combined with an extremely busy professional few weeks which have been disastrous to my posting timeliness and mood at times. I’m proud however to say that I have not hopped off the wagon and have only succumbed to 1 day of not good eating habits. I’ve also decided to make some new goals which will help me achieve my ultimate goal of losing the weight and maintaining this healthy living lifestyle. The first one is that I am planning on signing up for my first ever 5K in April! That is very exciting for me and I hope to finish strong!

The past week was also exciting for I got to see my UPS and FedEX people a lot! HA! Last month I had won a $100 GC to www.planetshoes.com and decided to order TWO pairs of EarthFootwear! For those of you wondering I picked the #feathers and the #EXER-TRAINERS. I heart them both but am head over heels (literally;) for the Exer-trainers! OOOOHH so comfy! Also I received my #GRUVEthat I won during the mamavation twitter party. After an initial “bad” one, I’m happy to report I began gruveing again today with my replacement device! So as you see many exciting devices to assist me in my transformation! Oh yea and I got my hair “did” which made me feel better overall and you know a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to stay sane and cute!

As far as my exercise goes this past week I’ve been really kicking butt with that. Hockey continues which is an amazing workout and I even got to try a treadmill interval workout thanks to a visit to a local indoor water-park hotel this past weekend! WHEW a special thanks to @mommymomo and her DH for helping me create a beginner workout that kicked butt!

Now what I am struggling is with is planning meals. I’m a little lost on the food stuff again and I just don’t know how that happened. I’m fortunate to say that since I’ve been doing this for 14 weeks that I don’t get major cravings very often and have been eating healthy with fresh veggies, whole grains, etc. BUT I’m so the type of person that needs a concrete plan. A plan that says eat this and this and that on these days, etc. and I just haven’t put that together. HELPPPPP! So I’m bored, my kids and DH are bored and I need to mix it up a bit. This has always been a challenge for us and especially now that we don’t eat out nearly as often as we did before…

With all that thrown at you I have lost this week. ONE more pound gone which brings my total to nineteen pounds lost after fourteen weeks. SOOOO close to that twenty pound mark. So close. Let’s hope that this Gruve and these EarthFootwear work some magic this week!

To conclude I just want you all to know that I appreciate your comments and thoughts. Everyday I wake up knowing that I have been blessed to have such an amazing, inspiring group of people helping me through each and every day. Going forward I want you to know that I’m here for you always and I hope you know that the inspiration that you give me daily keeps my spirit strong and motivated! XoXo

You are doing great, Trayce! Keep it up! As for the diet part, you can find some really great healthy recipes online to mix it up a little, and some that you can use over and over without getting tired of them! Pick a few out, write them down in a planner/menu, and go for it! :)

HUGS!

Any chick that can play hockey is pretty cool in my book. I wish I could ice skate. lol It looks so fun!

Keep up the great work you’re doing. I wish I had advice about food…I don’t though. I struggle too.

So sorry am late on commenting, I thought I got ya but I was wrong…I am very proud of you that you have challenged yourself even more by trying out for the 5k. I really understand the food thing when you have to have something concrete, in your face telling you what you need for all your meals. I struggle with that also and tend to get less veggies cuz I can’t figure out how to mix em up besides as sides and salads. Keep getting your gruve on!! You’re doing great!

I’m so proud of you! 19…Love it! I’m giddy about you doing the 5K! :-) Super fabulous…and I heart you. Call you this weekend!

Best advice for food is to have a plan..you love plans and make one and stick it on the fridge so you know each day what’s for lunch/dinner. Wraps are great for lunch to jam them with veggies and turkey (My kids love these too!) and we have been picking up fish and tossing fresh dill and squeezing lemon on it and doing stir-frys with (very little EVOO) with veggies and chix. I love the cooking light recipes. Also..weight watchers online has great recipes and a place where you can enter all of your food in a certain dish and it adds the calories/fat/fiber and all that good stuff! Soups too! I made a Chix Noodle soup with very little noodles and mostly carrotts/chix and celery with fresh herbs to cut down the sodium! Love you!

Trayce you are doing a fantastic job and sound like you know yourself well enough now to beat the demons that keep you down – way to go! I’m looking forward to reading your plan in this week’s mamavation post – cheers!
